FROELICH QUARTER HORSES

Horses with Disposition, Color & Conformation

Sires

 McKeag

McKeag is our senior sire and backbone for our breeding program. He is a true blue roan quarter horse with a black face and four black feet. Not only does he pass his powerful hip and classy head onto his foals, but also his million-dollar disposition, which is second to none. McKeag stands 15.1 and weighs 1250.
Blue Star McKeag
Our junior sire, Blue Star McKeag, is proof that McKeag's genetics are very strong. In addition to Blue Star McKeag's beautiful true blue roan color, he packs lots of bone, and a good mind into his foals. Blue Star McKeag's colts have always been easy to work with and ride real calm. Blue Star stands 15.2 and weighs 1250.

Rio Blue Badger

Rio Blue Badger a 1997 true blue roan stallion brings color, outstanding looks, confirmation and is a pleasure to be around. His pedigree includes names like: Skipper W, Poco Bueno, Peppy San Badger, and Three Bars. Badger stands 15.3  weighs 1200 and is very athletic.

FQHR Red Star McKeag

Red Star a 2001 red roan son of McKeag joined our stallion battery in 2004. This is the first offering out of Red Star. We are excited about his foals as they are carrying on the tradition of muscle and disposition of his father, McKeag. Red Star Stands 15.1 and weighs 1200.

West River Blue

West River a 2000, true blue roan son of Blue Star McKeag continues to prove the strong genetics of McKeag. In addition West River has that keen head and muscle of his father Blue Star. His foals have been quiet and easy to work with.

McKeata

McKeata is a 2004 black son sired by Rio Blue Badger out of Mestique who is a McKeag daughter from one of our very best ever producing mares (Ellen's Music). Other than his black color, McKeata matches his maternal grandsire (McKeag) in phenotype and muscle. We are riding a young, long-strided full brother who also possesses quick action, alertness and a great disposition. Based on what we have experienced with his pedigree, performance and black/blue colors in his lineage, we are expecting good things from McKeata

ID Watch Two Eye

We are very excited about Two ID’s future and what he can add to our program.  We were looking for a outcross stallion for our Mckeag daughters that has the shape and size that we like without sacrificing any disposition.  Two ID fills that order for us to the tee.  World Champions on both top and bottom of his pedigree along with a million dollar disposition.  15’1 and 1100 lbs.

Blue Stars Fire

Our junior sire that has grown into a beautiful stallion.  True blue roan with no brown hairs with a pretty head and neck.  We plan to expose more mares to Fire in the near future.  People who like a 15 hand horse will enjoy the offspring from this stallion.  Once again, he has that Mckeag disposition that we brag on so often.  14’3 and 1200 lbs.

Goldun Poco Storm

Goldun Poco Storm is an absolutely awesome "Slate Grullo", a fluid mover with a great easy disposition. In addition to Stormy's athletic ability he is blessed with a great mind, conformation and beautiful head. Stormy was Reserve World Champion, Open Reining, 2007 IBHA World Show & Circuit Champion, 2007 Gateway to the World, Open Reining. Stormy's sire Jaz Poco Goldun Blue has earned AQHA ROM Reining, IBHA ROM Reining and several other Reining and Working Cowhorse competitions.
